Reflection in Week 2

It was hands-on on after effects in week 2. I learn about creating a new composition to start my work and importing files. I got to know more about the usage of after effects. Examples are like the positioning, opacity, rotation etc. I as able to move a text word from up to down and used the glowing effects. Using the opacity, i was able to make the text from invisible to visible slowly. It was all about creating keyframes. After editing your video, i learn how to render the video out and let it be played using Quicktime. The difficulties i face was getting confuse over the keyframes. Like where must your keyframe be when you start positioning your text to make it move from up to down. Creating the 10second video was not a problem with the help of my classmate. I learn a few more effects other than the glow.

Reflection for Week 1

In Week 1 i learn a lot more about Motion graphic effects. The 9 videos shown in class was very interesting and i manage to know what was the purpose of the different types of videos, example, advertisement or kinetic typography. I had to look for 9 different videos and explain about it after that. Looking for the videos were easy but explaining the art style of the video was somehing i do not know how to accomplish. I do not really know what is art style. That was my only difficulty. The videos were very nice and stuffs but it doesn't look easy to do. I did not use after effects software before but I am looking forward to learn all this effects.

Ideas for project 1

My idea for project is kinetic typography. I am gonna choose my favorite mainstream music and make a kinetic typography video! Some examples are below. For my video i will only be using also my favorite part of the song. Could be the starting, or the chorus. It will not be as long as those videos below. My video will be something like the dynamite one or like a G6 one.
